Unique Entity
Yehu Microfinance Services Ltd (YMSL) provides a unique entity in the provision of financial services to the low segment of the market. It predominantly focuses on the rural poor of Kenya through an adapted Grameen group lending model.
Rapid Growth
This model has seen it rapidly grow in the Coastal Region of Kenya in the last 22 years and it has now successfully replicated the model in Eastern Region of Kenya with over 50,000 clients largely women and the youth, served through 15 branch outlets.
Focus
Yehu focuses on empowering socio-economically marginalized rural entrepreneurs through provision of financial literary and financing for creation and enhancing of businesses through loan products under: Business, Agriculture, Green energy, Asset, Micro-insurance, water & sanitation, education and consumer loans thereby improving their social and economic welfare.
Governance
Its Management is under Mr. Adet N. Kachi, a Microfinance Specialist and accomplished strategist who has been the driver of the rapid growth of the company experienced in the last 10 years, an average clientele growth rate of 40 per cent per annum.
Meet Our Executive Board Team


He has been instrumental in its tremendous growth and positioning in the Microfinance space both in Kenya and other African Countries. He is well endowed with strategic managerial skills besides being a microfinance expert.
Mr. Adet is also a part time lecturer in a local University. He is pursuing a Doctorate degree in Business Administration


Faith is an Advocate of the High court of Kenya, Certified Secretary, Arbitrator & Accredited Mediator (MCIArb). She has been a private practice legal practitioner for over 15 years and has gained extensive experience & expertise in providing clients with legal consultancy, advisory and transactional services. She holds a Bachelors degree in Law from Moi University and Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She also holds certifications as a Certified Secretary from the Institute of Certified Secretaries of Kenya and an Arbitrator and Accredited Mediator from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
She is the Managing Partner of Kanaga & Associates, a Nairobi based law firm specializing in corporate law, commercial law, corporate governance, banking law, company secretarial, alternative dispute resolution, intellectual property law, legal & compliance audits, and real estate & conveyancing. She has previously worked at Miller & Company Advocates Mombasa as an Associate Advocate and at Macharia Mwangi & Njeru Advocates in Nairobi as head of Commercial & Conveyancing Department.
She is a member of the 3 professional associations namely Law Society of Kenya, Institute of Certified Secretaries of Kenya and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Faith also currently serves on the Boards of Kenya Open Golf Limited and Rotary District 9212 (Kenya, Ethiopia, South Sudan & Eritrea) as District Legal Advisor. She has previously served on the Board of Organization for Women in International Trade Kenya Chapter and as District Secretary at Rotary District 9212.


She is a member of ICPAK practicing as Internal Auditor, Risk Management , Operations and quality management systems in public and corporate sectors.

Waceke holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science as well as various risk management certificates in operational risk and IT risk.
She is a member of the Institute of Risk Management (IRM) and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA)
Waceke is the head of risk management at Britam General Insurance, a leading insurance company in Kenya. She is also a non-executive director of Solidaridad East and Central Africa and sits on the Africa Supervisory Board for the organization.

In addition to her HR career, she is currently a Non-Executive Director at Yehu Microfinance Services Limited, leading the Governance Committee and a member of the Sustainability & Social Performance Committee; she is a Board Committee Member of the Finance & Partnerships Committee for Women on Boards Network; and also a Certified Trustee under the Retirement Benefits Authority, having served as a Trustee and Trust Secretary for Unga Holdings Limited Staff Pension Scheme for 3 years and currently a Trustee of Mastermind Tobacco Kenya Limited Staff Retirement Scheme.
Rose is a full member of the Women on Boards Network and a Practicing member of the Institute of Human Resources Management (IHRM). She is also a Mentor under the Global Give Back Circle (GGBC) which is funded by Mastercard Foundation to provide mentorship to aspiring young leaders in Africa and a member of The Boardroom Africa Network. She also offers HR Consultancy Advisory Services.
Currently Rose is the Head of Human Resources & Administration at Mastermind Tobacco Kenya Limited. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Strathmore Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Management Science and Business Administration from Strathmore University. She also hold a Diploma in Human Resources from the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) and have undergone extension training in areas of Leadership, Performance Management, Finance and Mentorship among others. Rose has also undertaken the 4BY4 Leadership Training by Sunny Bindra and the Trustee Development Programme of Kenya and certified as a Trustee

Previously, Anne has held different roles as a Chief Finance Officer at JamiiBora Microfinance and as the Chief Internal Auditor at Musoni Microfinance.
Anne has served as a Board Member at The Institute of Internal Auditors. Due to her contribution, She was co-opted as a Training Committee member steering the Good governance in both public and private sectors.
Anne is a holder of Master’s Degree in Business Administration from The University of Nairobi and is currently defending a Doctorate Degree at the same University focusing on ‘Gender Diversity in Boards, Board Capital, Firm Characteristics and Performance of Microfinance Institutions in Kenya.
She is a Certified Secretary, a Certified Internal Audit Quality Assessor and an accredited Governance Auditor with distinct expertise in Corporate Governance, Risk Management, Finance management, Value Based Leadership and Internal Audit.
In line with her passion for leadership, she co-founded Nyamira County Women in Leadership Caucus where she nurtures her ambition to provide leadership advisories and mentorship programs to young women aspiring to grow up the ladder. Anne is a member of several bodies including The Institute of Directors, The Institute of the Certified Secretaries, The National Public Service Boards Forum, The Association of County Public Service Board Secretaries and The Women on Boards Network.
